Boeing executives apologised to the families of those who died when 737 Max crashed in Indonesia and Ethiopia. The company said it was working hard to learn from what went wrong but didn't say when the plane could fly again. A total of 346 people were killed in both crashes.
A Myanmar National Airlines flight landed safely at Mandalay airport on 12 May after landing gear problems forced it to touch down without the use of its front wheel. Passengers were seen scrambling to evacuate the aircraft. Local media said no injuries were reported on the flight carrying 82 passengers and seven crew members.
