I must commend Amy Schumer for apologizing and retiring that particular joke, as I truly believe she meant no harm. What I am disgusted by are the leagues of people kicking off because they believe it is their right to say whatever they want. And it is! Just be prepared for the repercussions.
Don't get me wrong; there have been great comedies in the United States. But institutionally, it seems the approach taken by American comedies pales in comparison to the daring subject matter and wicked humor that grace British television sets.
So, the hotly anticipated, latest US import New Girl has arrived, and, judging by the very mixed reviews the show has garnered, it's caused somewhat of a Zooey-shaped stir. Reviews are divided, the twittersphere even more so. Just who is that girl?
