Finally, the sun has shown his pretty face and I can excited for spring, not only to be able to pack away my winter coat, but so that I can embrace the trend for printed trousers this season. Print trousers were seen at many of the SS13 collections and this is one trend I am completely sucked in by.

Pastels and spring have a mundane, predictable relationship. In a similar vein to the floral prints for spring's sister non-surprise, designers are naturally drawn back to soft unicorn colours - those to brighten and lighten the April skies.

Just when spring was all worked out - the standard pastel highlight, floral punches and the really good demi-heel - there remains a difficulty. Monochrome. In my youthful orchestra-playing experience, black and white worn together dictates a look that screams 'catering staff', and that's something I'd never wish on anyone.

Today I'm wearing bright and rich colours by pulling out the yellow jacket from Asos that I wore a few posts ago and I have paired it with one of my favourites- the deep purple, side-tie top also from Asos.

Today I'm wearing a unique piece I've only worn once on my blog before. It's a fur caplet/jacket that I bought from what I refer to as a Hong Kong 'high street' shop- it's not a luxury brand, but a chain similar to Warehouse or Topshop, called Cypress.

My outfits and posts have been very simple recently, in part due to my hectic schedule. I apologise if they haven't been super elaborate and detailed, but I guess that makes them more wearable day-to-day anyway!

Jewel tones are my favourite colours and today I'm wearing a deep rich hue of purple. It has a side neck tie which dresses up the outfit and keeps me warmer as well. I have paired it with the Zara 'tweed' style jacket I wore a few posts ago.

When you're shopping on the high street you have to be attentive to details. The finishing and the quality are not always great, so do try on more than 1 piece even if it is the same.

I have always felt that a lady carrying a clutch looks more together, like she knows where she's going and doesn't need the safety of a larger bag. A clutch bag to me was always more of an occasion piece, something for parties and night out, not for a simple shopping trip.

Someone mentioned that I haven't posted anything I've been wearing for the evenings in the last couple of months....so here we go!

Hello, summer in London! I can finally start wearing short sleeves for the first time this year without carrying around a jacket! I'm wearing a very easy and simple outfit... T-shirt, jeans, wedges and a chunky gold necklace to dress it up a little!

I was aiming for something easy, simple, and colourful today! I needed something simple and comfortable to wear. T-shirt, jeans, jacket and DONE! I can't emphasise enough how much I ADORE this season's colours!

Browns, greens, camel colours - what I like to call 'natural' colours - are definitely a favourite of mine! These natural tones will always go together no matter what the combination.
