We all know that Christmas can be stressful. There is the usual invasion by the family, and extended family, the standing on ceremony all day, the extra expense as well as time and frustration trying to get the Christmas dinner on the table on time.
I love all those qualities within myself. I very much like who am as a person. But it has taken a long time to get this place in my life. I have worked very hard on my self development and building my confidence for the past ten years or so.
When you achieve what you were aiming for, seriously celebrate your success! The energy gain from this change in perspective can be massive! I'm certainly more productive when operating from a mindset of 'look how much closer I am to my goal and how much I've achieved!'
I got a phone call from my doctor recently, telling me that a recent blood test showed that I was 'post-menopausal'. I didn't quite know how to respond to this news. I didn't feel post-menopausal. My body seemed to be still following somewhat familiar rhythms.
We should celebrate the incredible achievements of people who are not afraid to step up and try something new. People who notice something lacking in their area and instead of grumbling about it, roll up their sleeves and do something proactive.
