Should we campaign for the wider use of Trigger warnings as it would benefit everyone - not just those with a mental health problem? I hope that by openly discussing these points with you, we can together fight the stigma.
Why do people fear psychologists? Why are people worried that we'll single you out for mental interrogation? Anyone who's ever taken a psych class or has a book by Freud on the shelf, has probably met somebody suspicious of your educational interests...
Awareness of mental health is not the problem at large - seeing it as something separate from us is. Whilst daily stresses and strains are the subject of polite small talk, depression or our anxieties crosses into foreign, undisclosed territory.
Debate may have had a bad year in 2014, but if we collectively use technology a little bit better, who knows? Maybe we can resist the appeal of the swirling vortex. Maybe 2015 won't be such a bad year after all.
I think there is something terrible brewing on Twitter, that could possibly explode during the forthcoming election, where stigma towards mental health is used to bully and intimidate those with specific views, even amongst disabled people, in a way we have never seen before.
