Most of these DJs scarcely play at the club themselves -- it's not a self-interest thing. They recognise the important contribution Fabric has made to the UK music scene.
EDM itself has taken hold of America and turned itself into a £4billion global industry. This is not sustainable. No genre is. The difference with EDM compared to dubstep, breaks or electric house though is that even the main players are calling out its death. Tiesto, Steve Aoki and others have openly said it can't survive.
We're like musical magpies, you see. It doesn't matter what shape or form the music comes in- if there's something about it, we just need to let you guys know about it. With the thousands of incredible acts out there it can of course be a little tricky to make our minds up- but hey, we always manage somehow.
