The yummy mummies are out in force and they're here to form a circle with their clique. They hang out where you want to take your child at every group, swimming club and play centre around. Crikey! I'm grateful to be working because if I was a stay-at-home mum my self-esteem just may hit an all-time low.
My mind has been much exercised recently after reading about a case which has come to light in Edinburgh. It involved a local council and the mummified corpses of an elderly couple. Following their deaths, in 1987 and 1994 respectively, their son had them embalmed in the hope that their family home might be turned into a mausoleum.
It is our son's fourth birthday this week and we will have a great time, the day will be about him and celebrating his life. The day before it however, I like to celebrate myself and what happened on the day I struggled to give birth. I know I have only been through it the once but I bet others who have been through it many times can still recall each and every one?
