Ryan Murphy is everywhere these days; like shit in a field. His ubiquity is both a blessing and a curse. One one hand, he unleashed Glee onto the world and, just like Frankenstein, he probably had no idea of the horrible things his creation would do. However, American Horror Story - another of Murphy's brainchildren - is one of the most captivating shows on television.
As for 30 Rock, it was important that the show didn't go on and on. Scrubs and Only Fools and Horses immediately spring to mind as programmes which should have stopped after fitting finales, but went on a little too long. Although a full-length final-series would have been nice, I'm sure that the final, hour-long episode will be a fitting one.
I believe it is likely that a majority of fans will be consuming the Rio Olympic coverage on their phones. If you remember how the BBC Olympic app worked, allowing sports fans to select news about their team only or even a particular athlete - now overlay this with the ability to get a live feed from all sports all the time and that is probably what normal will look like in 2016.
The shrill of a ringing bell carries a number of connotations. With this being a piece on London 2012, it could be a hackneyed reference to a city waking up to the dawn of a new beginning come July. It could even be more on-the-nose with some reference to Big Ben chiming welcoming tones to the arriving world...
