I love writing (though granted, not as much as I love talking) and I've just been reminded of my life-long interest in putting pen to paper*(*false nails to keyboard) when I recently re-discovered, and re-read, those most cringe-worthy of tomes - my teenage diaries.
So, the hotly anticipated, latest US import New Girl has arrived, and, judging by the very mixed reviews the show has garnered, it's caused somewhat of a Zooey-shaped stir. Reviews are divided, the twittersphere even more so. Just who is that girl?
Skimming across the field of American TV culture, Geek Girls are often relegated to comic relief. Is this the image we want popular culture t o project of us? That dorky can be adorable, but ultimately we will always be relegated to the sidelines?
