At 6am on the dot the f***ing fire alarm goes off in the hotel!!! Now usually these things don't last for more than five minutes but this time the b*****d hotel was EVACUATED!!!!!! It was barely getting light AND it was raining. So I'm stood outside in a proper fury.

So... that England game was an epic encounter. Great atmosphere. Good laugh and all.

So... Rio? F**k me! What an unbelievable night. A truly special gig. Not because of anything I did I hasten to add - I played AND sang like sh*t!! But them kids man!?!? It was just a privilege to have been there never mind on the stage AND I got in for free. (I know the bass player innit?)

I'll forever remember my own show for a funny scene with someone holding up a placard that said "NOEL WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Thing is it was actually a guy!

So, I'm just stood at some traffic lights waiting to cross the street when some guy slopes up to me..."Hey man I don't mean to disrespect you, but you do realise you got a little '80s thing going on with your hair there?" I was speechless.

Outside my gig they have A LOT of bootleg t-shirt stalls. I had to drive through them to get to the backstage area bit upon where I saw many, many T-shirts bearing my name and face etc. Right in the middle of one particular stall though was a T-shirt that simply said... "SEXY BITCH!"

The trip from Barcelona to Paris was uneventful as you would imagine. Landed in the rain and rushed across town to sit in a cold room for three hours waiting to do some bizarre TV show where me and six other French people occupied some kind of rustic dining table for a casual chat while they ate desert! For real...

Have a guess who I bumped into in the lift yesterday? Go on...you'll never guess. One half of an 80s yacht rock duo... no? Well, it was one of Hall and Oates!! Not sure if it was Hall or Oates... it was the little fella with the moustache! Which one's he?

I've become addicted to watching the Aussie news. It's beyond hilarious. Honestly, it's like a spoof show AUSSIE NEWS (MATE). Someone should do that, it'd be mega. I'd watch it anyway.

It's a night that will live long in the memory for another reason. That being it was the night I got my first bra thrown onstage! I was so proud, and the young lady should be too, if you know what I mean?

So did some mad Japanese breakfast TV show yesterday. It was bizarre to say the least. Hosted by a female comedian...what do you call them again, comedienne, or summat?

Mega news came through during the soundcheck. City and United have been drawn together in the FA cup!!! And more importantly I think I'm gonna be around!!! Bring it the f*** on.

The big news at the moment though is that Man City and Liverpool have been drawn together in the semi-final of the Carling Cup. I'm hoping the betting gets a bit more interesting this time...

Did that Jools Holland programme for the 1st time in 16 years last Tuesday. That's outrageous, I cannot believe it's been that long.

Well, they were 2 great nights at the Beacon in NYC. Yet another beautiful old theatre. Really stunning. Met some wildly enthusiastic fans. One or two were very intense. Someone actually squeezed my arm so much it hurt!!

We literally bumped into that top Scientologist Katie Holmes on the way into the studio. And, at this point, my mate and friend of the stars Scully was doing a bit of filming for my website and managed to capture the moment.

We flew into the United States of America this afternoon, which gave me the opportunity to resume the never-ending battle of wits with the border police.

I have been woken with the news that for the second week running I sit proudly at the top of GRAZIA magazine's column of lust! Number one, baby! My blimmin' albums don't even stay at #1 for two weeks!
