As a GREAT campaign ambassador I feel that Great Britain and China have a phenomenal opportunity to create partnerships and business together. The festival has been a fantastic platform to build on new and existing relationships in a new economic climate. It was an honour to have the Duke of Cambridge there to be as part of this pioneering event and it makes me proud to be British!
I have spent the last few days in China. The stock market has collapsed over the past year by 70 per cent as GDP growth has slowed from 10 per cent to 7 per cent. But the optimism amongst Chinese business people has not diminished and they remain confident that they can continue to generate wealth at a spectacular rate in the coming years.
Friday before last I was invited, along with a group of Leeds Commonwealth Games medallists, by The Lord Mayor and all at the City Council to a reception at the Civic Hall.
