Fashion Week is getting faster. Shows that are not livestreamed, are immediately shared with the world via social media. However, those who are lucky enough to sit in the front row have to be slightly discerning as to what they upload; while hundreds of photos are uploaded over Fashion Month, there are many of those that don't quite make the cut.
One place that is inescapable in 2014 is Brazil. It will be beamed round the world when the World Cup kicks off on June 12. It's a country that has been growing in popularity with the type of couple looking for an experiential honeymoon that combines adventure and relaxation. South and Central America continue to capture the imagination with emerging destinations such as Nicaragua.
Tammam Azzam doesn't claim to be a representative of the Syrian people, but neither does he want to be treated as an individual. He wants to be one his fellow countrymen. And yet, as an artist, individuality is a necessity if one is to make a living. Perhaps that is why his first solo exhibition in London, I, the Syrian, a collection of surreal digital collages, bristles with defiance, paradox and tragedy.
