In today's me me me society, we seem to have lost our way somewhat when it comes to kindness. Yet we are actually programmed to be kind because being nice gave us evolutionary advantages in that it is a process that encourages the exchange of resources within a group.
This year, on the Kindness UK website, I have pledged one of the kind acts that I will do for Kindness Day. I'm going to visit a nursing home armed with goodies to give to the residents and I will spend time chatting to them.
Since today is World Kindness Day and most of us will be spending it at work, I thought this would be a good time to share a few tips on how we can transform our workplace in a way that benefits, well... basically everyone.
Today is World Kindness Day, and we're all being encouraged to help change the world by committing one simple act of kindness. I for one fully intend to play my part - and not for entirely selfless reasons.
