Nick Wilson was appointed as vice president and managing director of HP UK and Ireland in August 2009. He is responsible for all country operations and oversees a portfolio that spans printing, personal computing, software, services and IT infrastructure.
During his time at HP, Nick has led a number of ground-breaking projects including the establishment of Erskine as centre for services operation in UK and the first campaign by a large systems integrator to engage with SMEs to drive innovation and growth in the UK.

Nick’s keen aspiration to revamp the UK’s ICT curriculum saw him start an innovation partnership model with universities, aimed at improving the employability of students. This programme sees HP co-authoring and co-delivering IT courses with Buck New University, De Montfort University and the University of the West of England.

In recognition of this, the University of the West of England made Nick Professor of IT Innovation and Learning in 2011.

Under Nick’s leadership HP has continued to be the largest supplier of technology to the UK government and home to award winning green data centre in Wynyard. Nick works in close collaboration with HP Labs in Bristol, HP’s largest R&D facility outside the US.

Nick has spent over 20 years in the IT industry holding a number of senior roles spanning both technology and services running. Before joining HP, Nick was President and Chief Executive Officer for CSC, UK, Nordics, Global Accounts and Middle East Africa business as well as the Global Outsourcing Business for Europe. He has also run UNISYS in the UK and was the General Manager of IBM's Global Services business in the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa.

Nick has a bachelor's degree in business studies, has two teenage children and is an avid golfer with a keen interest in many other sports - including tennis and squash both of which he once played competitively
