Stop and think about your bedroom for a moment. What are the main words you would use to describe your bedroom? A sanctuary? A Healing Room? A Mess? Perhaps it's "just a bedroom" and you are unattached to it.

To welcome love into your life, first clear any clutter in the bedroom. Sort anything that is not beautiful or functional into one of three piles: trash, donate or sell.

Review your wardrobe. Edit your clothes (especially clothes that you associate with a past relationship), shoes, and bags.

Get rid of jewelry, gifts, sexy lingerie, wedding dresses (yes!!), engagement rings, wedding rings, pictures you bought with past lovers. Anything with the ex's energy on it keeps new love at bay! Remove all items from past relationships.

Personal photos don't belong in the bedroom and are said to hinder your sex life. Display family or children's photos in the living room or family room instead.

Remove the TV or exercise equipment! Any electronic equipment should be placed in the office of other area of the home. A TV in the bedroom is not conducive to romance. The bedroom is for love not work! A treadmill or workout machine in the bedroom makes relationships exhausting.

Decorate with colour wisely. Shades of pink help draw love to you easily and create a romantic mood. Use red sparingly, it can be a sexy, bold colour that creates passion or helps draw in a new lover.

The bed is the focal point of the room and the size, headboard and position are important. Queen size beds are ideal, but a double is the minimum. A single bed tells the universe you want to stay single! Your headboard should be wooden; metal headboards are not recommended. The best position for your bed is against the wall, you'll feel protected and relaxed and see the door from your bed. If your bed is under a window, energy moves in and out causing interrupted sleep. Position your bed so that you can see the door, do not sleep in line with the door or have your head up against a bathroom wall. Having your bed up against a wall, pushes your chance for love away. You should have enough space so that there is enough space to walk on either side. Also note that what is under you bed affects your sleep, so keep it clear of clutter.

Think in pairs for perfect Fung Shui. In the bedroom this means matching lockers, lamps, rugs, closet space...even spare hangers!

Two matching lockers of equal size can be placed on either side of the bed. This encourages equality in your relationship. The locker on your future partners side should be kept empty so there is space for him to put some of his things.

Two matching lights on the lockers show that you want to share your life and home with your loved one. Also include two rugs either side of the bed, and some spare hangers. I bought pink hangers for me and black ones for him, which I never used since they were for my future partner.

Remove ALL Books, statues, décor, furniture and even photos of things that are singular in the bedroom, and all throughout your home. For example, don't keep one chair in the living room unless it's a love seat. If possible, replace any photos you have of single people with images of happy couples.

When you complete your bedroom move into other areas of your home and clear out the clutter and create pairs for perfect Fung Shui. You are physically and mentally clearing any clutter or attachment to things that no longer serve you.

Take your time and enjoy the process. Focus on your intention, and the act of creating a warm and welcoming space. Know that your efforts are energetic signals to the universe saying, "I'm ready for love". It worked for me, and I know it can work for you too!
