This week's training has been hard, even more so because it's now the run up to the fight. Here's what I got up to:
Monday's training consisted of a morning of wrestling and grappling followed by a night time session of Thai sparring and pads. I am confident that my striking has become much sharper over the past few weeks.
On Tuesday I did MMA sparring followed by Thai pads and drills - our Terror Tuesday. That evening I did a wrestling class.
Wednesday followed a similar pattern to Monday, but I mixed it up with box sparring instead of Thai.
On Thursday morning I did MMA sparring and then I did MMA drills afterwards. I had Thursday night off and went and got a massage instead of training.
On Friday I did loads of grappling and then I did a Thai pads session in the evening. This was followed, of course, by my regular Friday Nandos and afterwards I went to see the new Sweeney movie. We tried out the new seats which move while you watch the film - the seats are great, everyone should check them out!
On Saturday I taught a class in the morning and then I went to do some strength work.
I can't wait until the fight now, it can't come soon enough. I just want to get in the Octagon and show people what I'm made of. Just one week to go now.
