Peter Michael Marino has worked extensively as a director, writer, teacher, and actor. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild, AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and a graduate of the Commercial Theater Institute.

Peter is the librettist of the musical Desperately Seeking Susan, based on the film and featuring the songs of Blondie, which played on London’s West End and Tokyo. He is currently performing Desperately Seeking the Exit - his solo comedy about the making and unmaking of said musical. The show played to raves in NYC and runs the month of August at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Peter received the 2010 & 2011 Backstage Readers Choice Award for Favorite Comedy Teacher for his “Flying Solo” classes at The PIT. He also teaches his acclaimed “Comedy Essentials” and “Instant Improv” workshops at The Actors Centre in London.

Solo show directing credits include Mad Man (The PIT), Delilah Dix: America’s Showgirl (Ars Nova), Delilah Dix: Showin’ My Business (Ars Nova, Laurie Beechman), Delilah Dix & Her Bag of Tricks (Edinburgh Fringe), Head Games (IO WEST, Ars Nova), Alicia Levy’s comedy concert Chickapalooza (The PIT, Ars Nova), Top Drawer (Midtown International Fringe), Twister Sister (EST), Wonder Woman (TADA), and many more.

Theater directing credits include A Christmas Twist (ALT Theater, Bflo.), Don’t Pick Up (American Globe Thtr.), Jackie Lantern’s Halloween Revenge (Village Theater), Character Witness (TADA, SUNY Buffalo) and the development of dozens of new works with Tom Fontana’s Writers Theater.

Writing credits also include the award-winning NYC cabaret-spoofs Lance Jonathan: All About Me! and More About Me!; and Hollywood Nurses - an homage to the lesbian pulp novels of the 1950s, which enjoyed a sold-out run at Chashama.
