Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt is the Chief Rabbi of Moscow and President of the Conference of European Rabbis, federating Jewish religious leaders in over 40 European states. He was born in Zurich in July 1963 and has been a tireless religious and political representative of the Jewish community in Russia.

Rabbi Goldschmidt possesses an MA from Ner Israel Rabbinical College and an MS from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA. In 2009 he was invited as a visiting scholar to Harvard University. He is married with seven children.
