I think I have tell everyone how accomplished I am feeling, due to feeling a little invisible otherwise as a MAGS. I don't know why we all feel this way as we get older, but it does seem we become a little invisible to the rest of the world!

Well, it has truly been a hectic couple of days...I feel older than a Mags...I feel OLD!

I am exhausted! Christmas day I cooked, I was up at 6am putting food into the oven...luckily I had finished cooking by midday, so was able to relax, but of course, I drank too much wine. It was a great day though, spent with hubby and my cousin. Somehow, we ended up in some pool hall in the evening, but I played terribly, it was at the end of a long day of drinking....that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!!

I have spent the last two days with a hangover. Oh, how I wish I could be young again and just get over a big drinking session in a matter of hours!

However, in the last two days I have also moved house, packed, unpacked and I have been for a job interview - and got the job! Woo Hoo!

All in all, although I am exhausted, I feel very accomplished, and feel I have to tell the world about it!

I think I have tell everyone how accomplished I am feeling, due to feeling a little invisible otherwise as a MAGS. I don't know why we all feel this way as we get older, but it does seem we become a little invisible to the rest of the world!

I watch women who are celebrities go through the prime in their lives when they are younger. Look at how many of them we see when they are young, and then once they hit over 40, only a select few keep going in the spotlight. Many just seem to disappear off the planet!

Women in the workforce also suffer...especially if time is taken out to have children. I was reading a survey by the London Business School which said the 70% of women fear taking a career break, sometimes not even to have kids, but to travel, study or for other family commitments.

It then went on to say that 50,000 women in 2013 were 'forced out' of their jobs after taking maternity leave.

I have been on a break from my 'regular' career (no, not for maternity leave! Are you nuts!! I am a Mags!). I have done so in the past as well. It usually turns out that when I go back into it, I have to sit in interviews and 'explain my absence'. I always feel like saying that it is none of their business, but this of course, would not get me the job!

This time around, I have started my own small businesses from home, written books, started Mags, so when I went to the interview, the guy doing the interview was surprised I had done so much over the past year.

It's because I sat through the interview, and SHOUTED about what I had done. For the first time ever, I exuded confidence in an interview.

I am putting it down to the fact, that now I am a Mags, I can be proud of what I have done in the past, and I know I have so much more to offer. I refuse to be someone that just 'disappears' into the abyss, just because I am getting older.

I want people to know that although I am getting older I still 'have it'! Yes, I get exhausted more easily, yes, it takes me longer to get over drinking too much wine...but I won't let that stop me!

So, yes, I have started my resolutions early...told you I would, and told you I wasn't going to wait for New Years eve to do them!

Yes - I am going to keep on Shouting to the top! Even when I am exhausted!

What will you do differently this year?

Mags xx
