Rebecca is a Doula UK recognised birth doula and writer offering practical and emotional lay-support to new families. I live (and often work) in Hackney but support births across London.

During my own pregnancy I became fascinated by the process of birth and inspired by the capabilities of womens’ bodies. After my daughter was born at home I decided to become a doula.

It has been an amazing journey and I’ve been privileged to support some brilliant couples through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I believe firmly that, given the right support, everyone is able to have a positive birth experience; whatever that means for them. So my focus before, during and after the birth is always in providing whatever is needed to empower couples to explore and pursue their version of this positive birth.

I also write and speak about pregnancy, birth and baby-related topics, both on my own blog and for newspapers, magazines and online communities.

In reality each £20-poorer...
