I have recently graduated from Epsom University for the Creative Arts with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Journalism. At present I write for VELOUR magazine, Glass Magazine Online and I am the editor of MANYTHING Magazine.

MANYTHING magazine was recently commended and recognised by Dazed & Confused and Dazed Digital as an exciting new 'Zine.

Throughout my time at university I interned at a number of publications: Cosmopolitan magazine; Harpers Bazaar; The Times; The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine and The Saturday Telegraph magazine amongst others. Previously, I had a fashion column in London newspaper 'Mauritius Now' and for the last few seasons, have assisted at London Fashion Week. For SS12 I assisted knitwear designer Mark Fast.
I also recently took part in a styling feature for Cosmo on Campus whereby I had to style a single summer garment into an outfit suitable for autumn winter 2012.

Finally I am a great believer in always carrying a notebook. No journalist should be without one.

With Paris fashion week coming to an end today, it is only a short while until we begin hearing about the AW13 trends. Having worked at a trend forecasting company, I know the process of whittling down key styles, from whole looks to bag and heel sizes. The thing about...

(0) Comments | Posted 8 January 2013 | (21:25)

Today was a good day for the fashion savvy man. In pursuit of the London Collections that happened yesterday, a host of genius displays took centre stage today, with many a wearable outfit on show.

Although not my specialty point (this is something I hope to change in 2013) menswear...

Street Style: The Desire to Be Photographed

(1) Comments | Posted 7 October 2012 | (22:17)

I recently read via an online source that it has become increasingly important for big time brands to fill their front rows with well-dressed, famous faces in a bid to drive publicity, social networking figures and sales. This news came as no surprise, as a fashion week without a celebrity...

I was very interested to read online yesterday and today about Giorgio Armani's global discussion and social media plans, following over 10 years of Armani retail success in China.

The idea to use Twitter as a means to contact the world on subject matter: "China as a new fashion super...

The Little Village with Big Fashion Offerings: Cuckfield, West Sussex

(0) Comments | Posted 23 May 2012 | (14:45)

Living in London (with busy streets and even busier schedules) it is hard to remember the pleasures of a secluded country village. As I right this I am sat by a log fire (yes, in MAY) in a local pub in Cuckfield, West Sussex: a small village just off of...

The 'It' Item and Why It Earns the Prestigious 'It'

(0) Comments | Posted 24 January 2012 | (18:52)

Every season without fail there is an 'it' something. Be it a handbag, a pair of shoes, a colour, a print or a cut, the fashion industry sifts through the season's offerings and proclaims one item (or style) that will trample the rest and earn a prestigious 'it' recommendation.

For...

Bowler Happy

Up until the last few years, I'd never had a love or desire for 'old' things; I was only ever interested in the new: vintage clothing; charity shop finds and antiques were of absolute zero interest to me. Even on holiday, when I should have been rooting out unusual fabrics,...

Is Graduate Jobseeking the Ultimate Creative Gamble?

(0) Comments | Posted 6 October 2011 | (11:53)

As a training fashion journalist, I cannot decide if being a student in today's economic climate is a good or a bad thing. From a selfish point of view university has, for the last 3 years, protected me from the outside world; at present I have no idea how difficult...

Season of seduction - Autumn/winter has never been so inviting.

(0) Comments | Posted 12 September 2011 | (01:00)

I've always been a summer girl myself. There is something free and quite romantic about donning a summer dress, espadrille wedges (preferably of the Prada type) and a straw hat and letting the heady summer days run away with you. Autumn always hits like a brick wall; the days begin...

Rise and Fall of the Fashion Boutique

(0) Comments | Posted 10 September 2011 | (15:16)

I need not tell you the British economy is suffering; as I write this the fashion boutique I'm working in is hauntingly quiet and the road outside painstakingly empty. Infact I can count on one hand the number of customers I've had come through the door this morning- one being...
