Reem Shakwat is a Sudanese journalist interested in human rights, social justice and writing about women's issues. She's a regular contributor for The Niles, Channel 16, IPS News and The WIP. She's a recipient of the 2011 International Activist Blog-Her Scholarship. She contributed a chapter to a book called "Voices in Refuge" published by the American University in Cairo press in 2011.
