Set some goals
Take some time to think about what your ideal life looks like. Where are you living? Where are you career wise? How is your health and fitness? What ever areas are important for you, sit down and get clear on what you want your life to look like. You don't have to get too detailed, just get an idea of where you want to be. Once you have an idea of your destination, it's easier to start creating a plan to get there!
Create daily habits
Our lives are the result of our habits. Once you have an idea of how you want your life to look, create habits that support that vision. For example, if you want your home to look a certain way, take small daily steps to get it closer to how you want. If you have a goal in your career then spend some time studying and improving your skill set. Before you know if, your life will start taking shape the way you want.
Edit your influences
Are you surrounding yourself with good influences? Are the people that you spend time with conducive to the type of life that you want for yourself? Take a look at your social circle and see who you can spend more time with and who you might need to phase out.
The same goes for the websites you are reading- are they supportive of a healthy world view and of the type of life you want for yourself? Spending twenty minutes reading about all the bad things in the world on your way to work is not good for your state of mind.
Go a different way to work
Whilst this might not seem like a big deal, it can actually have a profound effect on your day to day experience of the City. Instead of getting stuck in routine and going the same way to the office each day, take a different route and see more of this beautiful City!
Get help when you need it
After you've paid your rent and bills, there may be times when a little extra help is needed. Of course, being sensible with your money and living within your means is the key but for times when a little help is needed you can get a short term loan to bridge the gap before payday. Make sure to have a shop around to find a responsible loan provider that's right for you, For example, Vivus do a half price first time loan to help take the pressure off.
Invest in quiet time
Try and spend at least 5-10 minutes very day just sitting in silence by yourself and focus on your breathing. We are bombarded all day with social media, advertising messages and things that demand our attention so it's no wonder if you might feel tired or irritable at the end of the day. Spending time in silence helps you to switch off and filter out the noise so you can properly relax and process your day.
Put your phone down....now
You'll miss a lot of this amazing City if you are constantly walking around glued to your phone. Why not give yourself at least a day a week of no mobile phone activity? Whilst this can seen scary if you are mobile addicted, it's amazingly refreshing and can dramatically improve your relationships as well. If a whole day seems too long for you then why not start with an evening or the morning commute to work?Suggest a correction
