Update on the Campaign to Protect the Wild Tiger

As you know, there are only 3,200 left in the wild, and their only predator is man. We are killing this beautiful iconic animal for its skin, its bones, and its body parts. We are killing them to the point of extinction.

Well, it's time to update my blog and let you know what I've been doing to save the wild tiger.

As you know, there are only 3,200 left in the wild, and their only predator is man. We are killing this beautiful iconic animal for its skin, its bones, and its body parts. We are killing them to the point of extinction. They cannot be re-designed, they cannot be re-created, and we need to stop the killing and protect them.

Since my last posting, I have appeared on the BBC's daily politics show with the foreign office minister Jeremy Brown, and we have set up a meeting with the minister later this month to discuss exactly what he can do to put pressure on China to stand by their promise of saving the wild tiger.

We have also set up a petition to put pressure on China to stand by their word, to stop all trade in tiger parts and double the number of wild tigers by 2022 - the next Year of the Tiger.

We need as many signatures as possible, as the more signatures there are, the more pressure we can bring, so please, take a minute to sign the petition, and pass it on to all in your address book. The wild tiger depends on all of us.

How many of us have a cuddly tiger somewhere in our house, even if it's in the loft from when we were small? They need our help now, before it's too late. How will you tell your children that there are no more wild tigers, because we were all too busy to save them.

I'll let you know how my meeting goes.
