My Inspirational Women and Why We Need to Empower One Another

Something I've been really passionate about is the next up-and-coming generation of female entrepreneurs and I truly believe that it's about empowerment. It's about confidence and self-belief... and the younger you can empower a woman the more confident she'll be when she goes into business.

Elizabeth Hammond was an entrepreneur but she was also in the sector of coaching and what she really helped me to understand was, because I was almost a self-appointed CEO, there were areas which I was not very confident at all. I had massive belief in the MyWardrobe brand and had massive belief in the team, but actually as the team started to grow I started to have less confidence in myself.

Being a CEO, and I'm not sure if this is just purely being a female CEO, there are times when it's really quite lonely so having Elizabeth there as a support she really became a friend. And probably the one person I was really able to confide in and it was her opinion that I really valued.

Something I've been really passionate about is the next up-and-coming generation of female entrepreneurs, and I truly believe that it's about empowerment. It's about confidence and self-belief. My favourite quote of all time was from Madeleine Albright, she said "there should be a special place in hell for women who don't help one another" and that's something I truly believe in. I work really hard to support in any way I can, and it's about empowering. And the younger you can empower a woman the more confident she'll be when she goes into business.
