If You Go Down To Moschino Today... Teddy Bear Headbands

As someone with a more casual approach to clothing, not to mention a propensity for novelty headwear (I blame Minnie), the playful alice band covered in slightly grumpy looking bears nestled in a row, bound by rich velvet ribbons and glossy pearls, is the standout highlight for me.

Moschino's quirky elegance has won them many famous fans, from pop goddesses Madonna and Kylie Minogue, both of whom the Italian brand has designed tour outfits for, to the coolest Girls Aloud-er, Nicola Roberts who was spotted eyeing up these teddy bear headbands at their recent Fashion's Night Out party in London.

The label's Autumn/Winter 2011-12 Pre Collection features detachable mini teddy collars and pins - a nod to what is arguably Moschino's most iconic design, the 1980s teddy bear coat - lending a fun, naive edge to a range of sophisticated, softly tailored, grosgrain-trimmed pieces in a colour palette reflecting the spectrum of classic bear browns.

Whilst grown ups wearing toys on their heads isn't everyone's cup of tea, for me and the international army of Moschino fans, this the perfect accessory for a chic and more accessible take on this season's playful, childhood fashion trend.

Moschino Teddy Bear headbands, £201, available now in store and online (with free standard shipping).
