Steve Rothwell is a successful serial entrepreneur with over 16 years of experience in mobile, payment systems, technical architectures and IT security. Widely regarded as a leading expert in mobile solutions, he specialises in leading edge solutions involving new technologies.

Steve is currently CEO of Eagle Eye, a world leader in transactional solutions for promotional marketing and vouchering. He is the joint inventor of the patented Eagle Eye platform – the single platform that manages the issuance and redemption of uniquely identifiable coupons and vouchers for the retail and hospitality industry. In addition, Eagle Eye was recently revealed as the primary technology supplier behind PayPal inStore, the system in the UK that enables customers to pay for goods and services quickly and securely on the high street.

Steve studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Leicester University, and gained his industry knowledge at Ericsson, Consult Hyperion and Eagle Eye Technology, working with blue chip organisations such as MasterCard, Visa, Royal Bank of Scotland and the NHS. He remains on the board of Eagle Eye Technology.

In 2009 Steve was granted the patent over the use of the Chip and PIN terminal for the redemption of coupons and vouchers, and created Eagle Eye Solutions. Since then, the has company secured funding from world renowned retail expert ex-Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy, and top-ranked City retail analysts Bill Currie and Iain McDonald and works with top retailers and hospitality companies including Tragus Group, Gondola Group, Aurora Fashions, Blockbuster, Comet and William Hill.
