Travel Eye: The Rainforests, Rivers, Lakes and Glaciers of New Zealand's South Island
I watch in awe as the rich, luscious, inviting colour fills up my entire view. Then I realise I'm not looking at the sky. I'm looking at water. I've arrived at New Zealand's fourth largest lake, Wanaka. An expanse of water that reaches over 192 square-kilometres, it's quite simply one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen.
