Last Christmas was something of a milestone for my family; it was the year my parents decided my brothers and I - who are all in our 20s and 30s - were finally too old for Christmas Stockings. We were crushed. Everyone knows that stockings are one of the best bits about Christmas, right down to the stupid satsuma in the toe and the walnuts that no-one eats.
