I met Zac Goldsmith through a friend. I found him so inspiring and genuine that I helped out on his political campaign. Zac was elected and is now MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston.
Recently I came across an article that women still do more housework than men , so I started asking my friends if they did more housework than their men. The answer was yes. My experience is the same. Yet when it comes to money I split everything down the middle with my boyfriend, and so do my friends.
I was at an audition recently, a dance audition for a part in a major TV show, and it is fair to say there was no love between any of the women in the room. Which leads me into the million dollar question: Where has sisterhood gone? The patriarchal society wins again - but only because we let it.
I am not actually a fan of things that pick out gender, race or class. A person should be solely judged on who they are and what they do, but we don't live in an ideal world. Then I read Dr Duncan Green's blog post on why there are so few female bloggers and I thought 'what the hell is he talking about?'
