The glorious Bank Holiday Weekend has put us in a very good mood indeed. Long, lazy days and hopefully plentiful sunshine spoilt us... and we had the perfect soundtrack to our beautiful break.

At the Paralympics dreams will be made, feats of extraordinary athletes will amaze and records will be broken. Whilst these Games shape up to be the biggest and most impressive of it's kind the world has ever seen, we can't help but feel chuffed to bits to be part of it. The artists we brought down today all boast so much talent we were proud to showcase them to the world.

After the elation of London securing the 2012 Olympics subsided, there was probably one doubt that started creeping up in everyone's mind. There was a dark, fear-inspiring spectre looming over the success of the whole event. The 'Great' British weather. As a nation, we've come to have to adapt quickly to our infamously temperamental climate. In the last month alone we've endured both monsoon downpours and blistering sunshine within a day or two with each other- so were we going to let a bit of torrential rain dampen our spirits at the Emerging Icons stage's second day? Of course we bloody weren't- we're hard as nails.

The Olympic Stadium. The Olympic gardens. The Olympic bins. Everything is just so Olympic. We're definitely going to have one of those boring 'You Had To Be There' photo albums full of landscapes and buildings- but the problem is, everything makes you feel like you need to take a picture. It's really rather special.

Not wanting to brag, but we were on-site before any of you lot- so here's a little taster of what you can expect if you're heading down to the Olympic Park this summer as we recall our first impressions...
