Over the past few weeks the government's flagship energy efficiency policy, the Green Deal, has lurched from one setback to the next.

Newly promoted Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change Ed Davey has got a lot on his plate as he takes over responsibilities and begins the roll out for his "Green Deal" in which he will tell businesses to "get serious about saving energy".

The consultation will run until 27 April. If we are to ensure that the government delivers on its promise to be the greenest government ever, then I hope Liberal Democrats across the country will respond to the consultation positively, and ensure we can move further down the path to Zero Carbon Homes.
