I was sitting in a coffee shop last week with another coach and we were discussing the fact that we both come across many people who settle for a life and lifestyle that they are in fact not at all happy with. You deserve to do more than settle for the life you chose all those years ago if it's not what you love now.

Before you prepare your obituary make a life statement. Decide how your life should be. What work would you really like to be involved in. How should you and would you spend your time. You can take control of your life and change it's never too late.

There's something about turning 25 that's bound to provoke a little reflection. Everything just seems a lot more grown up and 30 doesn't feel so far away anymore. Reaching 25 brings the reality that we'd be put in the 'overs' category on The X Factor (really Simon?), the loss of our young person's travel card (no!) and the realisation that fancying One Direction is actually a little bit wrong (oops).

In a world of lifestyle and labels and the visual possibilities which turn the figuratives of watching paint dry into a literal virtual reality, to turn yourself into your very own lifestyle brand makes a complete, if slightly bizarre, kind of sense.

What is the meaning of life? The eternal question. Technically, there is no meaning to anything. If you're a rational person who doesn't feel the need...

You know how these things work, once you begin to get things off your chest to strangers, you just can't seem to stop. Next thing you know, the nasty boss, turns even nastier. So much so I had to start looking for another job.

First up I need to be clear. I am a tarot lover, I have been reading the cards since I was 13. At first for friends, but now I do so professionally. I love and praise the genuine guidance tarot can offer, they are like an objective best friend. From my perspective tarot can help you figure out what you already, deep down, know. A good genuine reading should compliment your intuition about your own life. A healthy reading does not offer answers or prediction so much as it offers clarity and perspective.

This weekend I decided to go offline for the day - no blogging, no tweeting, no nothing... to stay away from my laptop for an entire day.

As my friend James pointed out, I'll probably never drown. I will have my own built-in buoyancy aid, like a life raft just ready to go should I ever need it. My own mini dinghy boob. Brilliant. Bond would be proud.

I'm a lawyer working in the City for a major law-firm. I have a husband, and a two-year-old daughter. Last month, my first novel was published by Random House. The question I was asked by everyone? "How on earth did you find the time?"

It was hot the day my child stood on the Cape Cobra. It is always hot in the Namibian summer but the rain the previous day had made it more so. It was clear-aired too so the distance between things became harder to judge. Or perhaps that's just how it seemed to me.
