In order to reduce the striking rate of one rape case every twenty minutes in India, the penal code needs to be modified in order to accommodate different forms of non-consensual sex while ensuring that victim is not vilified.
The message is clear - "teach your sons better". If a girl does not want to have sex, do not rape her. I think it highlights just how important education is in overcoming such an incident and ensuring it does not happen again.
This has been said before, in many different ways, languages and levels of exasperation, but I'll reiterate: Mumbai is fucking crazy. Twelve and a half million people living on an island less than half the size of London.
