So, I think I have just about recovered myself from last nights Olympic Opening Ceremony, it was a late one......as I watched the ceremony in the jam ...

It was bonkers, and brilliant, and I completely loved it. For once, I am very, very happy to admit that I was wrong.

I'm particularly looking out for my friend - apparently, she's wearing a long dress and a curly wig and appears in the centre ring in the first section. For me, that will be the most exciting bit of the whole Games! They're all volunteers, you know, and have been rehearsing for weeks.

As I was looking around the council chamber in Camden I couldn't help but think of Show Day, and I thought maybe a citizenship ceremony is nothing but an opening show for what hopefully turns out to be a happy and prosperous life in a new country.
