This is a great book if you like beautifully decorated cakes however it is not an everyday baking book, much more suitable for occasion cooking. The photography is wonderful and the are lots of options of mixing and matching cakes with decorations.

Virgin to Veteran opens with a great basics section for beginners wanting to set up a kitchen.

This book arrived on my doorstep in an envelope with the notation AC/GC written on it. This is how I shall refer to the two greedy Italians from now on - it seems to suit them perfectly!

The introduction to this new cookbook is brief but well written - which is fitting as the main food philosophy is that simple is best. 'Food You Can't Say No To' is designed to be a series of dishes that can be cooked simply and often to become a part of your everyday repertoire.
