Life is good. We are back from a fabulous and much needed five days at the Coral Reef Club in Barbados (thank you Patrick O'Hara for looking after us so well) and Robert 'Bertie' Portal is home and dry with a smile as broad as the Atlantic Ocean itself.

The position I am in as Bert and James row across the Atlantic is pretty unique and emotions roll in like waves; some bigger than others and bringing with them the flotsam and jetsam of feelings, thoughts and fears.

More good news in this week as Robert 'Bertie' Portal and James Cash have now less than 1,000nms to row. It's strange how we all talk about them only having xxx miles further to row, as if they've just popped out for an afternoon's jolly on a river, picnic hamper in tow.
