Way back in the land before time (aka Fashion Week) I visited the Jacket Required show. A brilliant showcase of new menswear design from established brands such as Oliver Spencer and Mr Start, there were a few I had genuinely never heard of, and amongst those, one or two brands launching their very first collection.
This weekend I'm tracksuit shopping - old school Adidas tracksuit shopping, to be specific. I'm going all out for the classic three-stripe, totally man-made matching numbers that made such a lasting impression on me when the likes of Run DMC popularised them in the mid-1980s and have been sneaking into my wardrobe ever since.
Change doesn't to be significant or radical to be dramatic. If you're a man who can't be parted from his leather jacket, try a different colour to add a surprise element to your look. You can still wear your favourite jeans and trainers, but a new colour or cut to your normal style will take this look to the next level.
This Christmas, why not treat someone to something that they can treasure for a long, long time? In a world of fast throwaway fashion, it's sometimes so hard to find a present that will be appreciated, but that can also be used again and again without fear of it going out of style or worse, falling apart!
