I am now sitting in what is potentially my now favourite sandwich shop in Soho (who knew!), reviewing my weekend away in France where I witnessed the marriage of Huffington Posts own, Britchick to her Twin flame, Dominique.
It's generally a special occasion when two people wed, but none as special as when two twin flames wed. The term 'Twin flame' refers to a story spiritualists talk about describing the very beginning of a soul's journey. When a soul spark is created it is split in two, two exact mirrors, the two compliment and balance each other. They are two totally whole souls but infinitely more when they come together.
So, these two souls then go their separate ways to grow, often mirroring the exact experience in their different lives, always learning and evolving to come together again one lifetime hoping to unite in harmony. Sounds all sunshine and lollypops, doesn't it!
Well imagine what it is like for many people feeling this yearning for their "other half", that's right folks, that term actually has spiritual fact behind it. People are designed to yearn for and find their twins - like magnets. So what happens when they come together, should all be mills and Boone romance novels, unicorns and love hearts, correct?
If you imagine what it's like when you look in the mirror recalling your actions with the intent to learn from it, you start to assess all the ways which you next aim to grow. Your twin is your absolute mirror, so looking upon each other is intense, they see right into you, you see into them, you want them with you all the time. You feel like you are becoming a better soul simply by being around them. You amplify each other in divine harmony - neat huh?
However, it is often the case that many twin flames come together with such a bang (sometimes literally things do explode), that they push each other apart to the ends of the earth, and they have to learn their way back to each other again because they are not prepared to see each other fully. Spirit often organises these 'test' runs to gauge how far the souls have grown. Even upon their actual destined time to come together some hiccups can occur.
Twins are so deeply connected to each other that they experience telepathy (reading each other's thoughts). People often think they look the same - even when this is not physically, their energy is so similar that they just seem to look the same. I like to say that you can herald the arrival of a twins union because of the unique and miraculous circumstances surrounding their interactions. It is very rare (although there are exceptions) that a twin reunion goes without mysterious events.
So back to the wedding; it was pretty amazing. The days leading up were cloudy and raining. When it came to the actual day the forecast couldn't have been more blessed, 30 degrees and clear blue skies as far as your eye could see. Elizabeth looked amazing, a mix of Grecian goddess and a little nature fairy. The couple exchanged vows under a huge tree in the garden with family and friends encircled around them. I was originally going to be doing a blessing which didn't end up happening, so the vicar went through a revised wedding ceremony tailored for the two. It was intimate and personal. I had some issues with my clothing (no iron available and stains on my new shirt) and ended up arriving just before they begun, rushing down from my room to find the vicar about to begin. The only spot left for me was behind them, which was perfectly fitting; I stood behind and called the Spirit in keeping with our traditions, whilst the vicar did his thing.
So many people were saying they felt the presence of Spirits at the wedding. Which I was told earlier would happen as both of newlyweds had fairly recently lost a parent to illness. The air was definitely charged, with love and happiness. Everyone in attendance knows the hard road both of these two had to go through to get to this point.
Twin flames have to prove their enduring and devoted love for each other, often against all odds, surpassing numerous obstacles and foes. The connection that they feel for each other is unrivalled though, and the love they share is infectious and inspiring to anyone who is lucky enough to gaze upon it.
The day brought up a lot of emotions for me, we knew that this union would open a vortex of energy which would ripple out and flow into many people. It certainly did. I couldn't help but notice that no one stood to my right hand side. Ananara, The Sound Oracle (who you can see in action in my YouTube channel) noticed this as well, we both knew that someone else was meant to be there, but failed to attend.
Twin Flames sometimes run from the immensity of the energy between them, Elizabeth and Dominique on the other hand; felt huge fear, but had the courage to jump into love, opening up their once broken hearts to each other with the knowing that love is the most important thing of all.
