Many people think that being a Psychic and seeing the future would be a piece of cake making life a breeze. Prompting questions like: "Why don't you head to the casino?" "What are the lotto numbers for next week?" "What am I thinking right now?" and randomly "Are your teeth real?"
Firstly; to publicly clear it up, yes my teeth are real. Secondly; the gift doesn't work like that. While there have been many times throughout my advertising career when in a board meeting I would answer marketing results before they were even read out (this became a fun game for co-workers), and yes I have even been able to say what people were thinking before they open their mouth the gift does not work for show!
Spiritual gifts get blocked by ego, they don't work on command and if I only want to prove that it can be done it often won't happen. It must be in line with a greater plan - yes that's right, the big D - Destiny! People often get snippets of this grand design, how it plays into itself, each string pulling another experience in to another, but most times people walk slightly blind through life getting knocked from event to event. That's where I often come in; to help people live consciously connected to their destiny.
So what are some of these 'gifts'? Well I can see futures (yes that is an intentional plural as there are many), I can see the past, I can see what is blocking people and what is around to help them. I also work with Spirit to see people receive healing. I am also a very handy lie detector because often time's people fool themselves so thoroughly that they don't even think they are lying! When people have a session with me I like to combine many different techniques; Astrology, Numerology, Crystals, also messages from higher energies such as Angels and Guides. I throw it all together and mix it around to see what it creates.
However the major trait which makes me different from other psychics is that things happen around me. People finally find the relationship they have been looking for, people get their big break at work, people get healed, people ask for an experience and it occurs - oh and it happens when they ask me for help with it, that is the common link. If it is in their destiny it manifests. Magick (the k on the end is a way to differentiate between the Vegas magic show type of magic and real magick) happens around me and through me, yet to date I have not been able to replicate the expected Harry Potter-esque special effects, maybe my wand is faulty? Actually I don't have a wand. Hmm, maybe that's the key right there?
Being able to see the future does not make me exempt from the need to experience - in fact Spirit will make me walk a path without showing why, just urging me to do it. From the perspective of Spirit the 'pot of gold' at the end of the rainbow in question might be heartbreak or an amazing new connection, they both hold immeasurable value and the learning is the fundamental thing.
Spirituality isn't about avoiding 'hardship', rather it is about taking whatever happens and focusing on seeing it as a blessing until you get so good at that perspective that it has to be a blessing. I recall my teacher saying to me once (in a mix of broken English and Greek whilst smoking a cigarette - as she is known for) "Being Spiritual means that when you fall down you always get back up" There wasn't a mention of IF you fall down; after all it's to be expected. That is the common ground for all of us; we must experience the fall to understand the feeling of recovery so we can master the lesson and we then evolve into something new.
I am sure you have heard something similar to the above many times, so I would like this blog to be something different. I am going to make it a candid exposé on the everyday life of a modern mystic - that's me, just in case it wasn't obvious! About to embark upon a brand new journey, proving to all that this idea of 'coincidence' does not exist, that there is a grand plan to everything at work and when you consciously play with it you will have a ridiculously amazing adventure!
