Even though every pore of my being was willing me to wear black today (thank you, weather), I rebelled against my inclination and did the complete opposite and went all out in the colour department! The silk shirt is from Alice + Olivia and it came in a hot pink as well (purple looked much better on me, otherwise I would have picked it up too).
The shirt is supposed to be worn untucked as it's very short in the front, but I tucked it in anyway as I think it gives a much better silhouette. I'm wearing navy blue jeans today, rather than my usual black because I think black would be too harsh against the bright colours of the shirt and bag. I also softened it up by wearing the same Tods loafers from the last post.
Alice + Olivia have some amazing items- not my usual go-to brand, but now and again I do come across some nice finds- and this season in particular I think is quite stunning! I picked this shirt up over two months and last week I went to take a look at their collection again and they have almost the same shirt in the same colour with the exception of a couple minor design changes. The collection has some lovely silk pieces and bright tops!

When wearing bright colours, keep the silhouette and accessories simple! Especially when there's more than one bright colour!
