Vogue Paris Runway Report: Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013-2014

Fashion Week has come and gone, ending with its grand finale in Paris as the style set sat for some of next season's most amazing and memorable collections.

Fashion Week has come and gone, ending with its grand finale in Paris as the style set sat for some of next season's most amazing and memorable collections.

Designers this past week didn't shy away from drama and theatrics. Marc Jacobs staged his show in the round where the Louis Vuitton models entered and exited the runway by individual hotel room doors - out of which stepped a sultry Kate Moss in a guest appearance. Karl Lagerfeld showed fashion world domination as he sent models around the Chanel-marked globe set centre stage in the Grand Palais.

Other designers kept collections close to home and found inspiration from their pasts, including Riccardo Tisci who looked back at the Givenchy archives to create a heartfelt collection presented to the sounds of Antony and the Johnsons, Stella McCartney who drew from her menswear background to design pinstriped, tailored looks, and Clare Waight Keller who used her British heritage to inspire Chloé's Fall/Winter 2013-2014 show dedicated to a woman's move from schoolgirl to elegant lady.

Also during the final hurrah of Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013-2014, the City of Light welcomed with much anticipation Alexander Wang and his first collection as Creative Director of Balenciaga.
