Wasim Khan is Chief Executive of the Cricket Foundation, the charity that runs and raises funds for Chance to Shine - the campaign aims to bring the educational benefits of cricket to two million children in a third of state schools by 2015.

Wasim is a former professional cricketer. He made his First Class debut for Warwickshire in 1995 – and went to play for Sussex and Derbyshire. He was the first British-born Pakistani to play country cricket. After retiring he helped to promote the game in schools in Birmingham. Later he moved successfully into national cricket administration, becoming Community Development Manager at the Professional Cricketers' Association. He then brought his experience and expertise to the Cricket Foundation and Chance to Shine – The charity’s campaign to regenerate competitive cricket in state schools. His book, ‘Brim Full of Passion’ was voted Wisden Book of the Year in 2007.
