Five Of The Best Personalised Books

How many times have you hit the shops for a child's birthday only to despair over what to get them? Over the past few years I've gone through this a dozen times, and it usually ends up with me buying a voucher.

However, one option that's become popular over the past few years is to pop online and order them a personalised book, completely tailored to the birthday boy or girl, which is completely unique.

Here are five websites for personalised books for children.

It's Your Story: offers books that not only feature the name of your offspring, but also their image. So you can tell them the story of a trip to a zoo, whilst a cheeky snapshop of them pops up on each page.

Identity Direct

Identity Direct have an assortment of books, but the colouring books (£9.99) are particularly appealing for the very young. Each page displays your child's name.

Pen Wizard has some Noddy books (£14.99) that can be customised by name, hair colour, skin tone and eye colour, so you can create a cartoon version of your child.

Disney fans will adore the range of books from Buy a Gift, including the Toy Story 2 option above.

Star Stories

Finally, Star Stories creates an actual caricature of your son or daughter, which is displayed on the front cover.
