Two-Year-Old Found Wandering Alone At 11pm

Two-year-old wandering alone, Genesta Road, Westcliff, Essex A two-year-old toddler was found wandering the streets of Westcliff, Essex at 11pm last night.

A member of the public alerted the police, and the child's parents are now facing neglect charges.

The little girl is now in the care of social services. Police carried out door to door enquiries to try and find her parents. They were found searching for her this morning - more than ten hours after she went missing. They are now under arrest.

A police spokesman said: 'Police can confirm that a man and a woman were arrested in Westcliff on suspicion of child neglect.

'A 37-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, both from Westcliff, are currently being interviewed at Southend police station.'
