World's Largest Stop-Motion Film Made On A Camera Phone

The world's largest stop-motion film has been recorded using nothing more than the camera on a Nokia smartphone.

The video, "Gulp", was shot on a beach in South Wales using three Nokia N8 phones, each equipped with a 12 megapixel camera suspended on cranes to shoot from above.

Everything in the video, which tells the story of an unlucky fisherman and his trip to the bottom of the ocean, is life-sized, including the boat and the fisherman himself.

Some of the shots were shot on a canvas of more than 11,000 square feet.

Produced by Sumo Science, the making-of video (which you can watch below) is almost as interesting as the animation.
