Boy Killed In Ice Cream Van Crash

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Police have named a four-year-old boy who died after being hit by a car shortly after visiting an ice cream van.

James Robinson was struck by the car in Wearport Green, Portrack, Stockton-on-Tees, shortly after 6pm on Friday.

James was taken to North Tees University Hospital where he died.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said the incident involved a Ford Fiesta driven by a local woman. Police have appealed for witnesses.

Tributes and teddy bears have been left at the scene where the youngster died.
