Mary J Blige Reports That Rock Of Ages Co-Star Tom Cruise 'Needs No Coaching' To Sing

Tom Cruise Rockingly Good At Singing, Reports Co-Star Mary J Blige

PRESS ASSOCIATION -- Tom Cruise doesn't need any coaching from Mary J Blige, the singer has said.

The Grammy-winning songstress stars alongside the Hollywood actor in the big-screen adaptation of Broadway musical Rock Of Ages, but hasn't been tempted to offer Cruise singing lessons.

"I think we have a singing scene together - all of us. I don't have to coach Tom. He actually sounds really good. He can do anything," she told Collider.

Cruise plays bad boy rocker Stacee Jaxx in the musical film, while Mary has been cast as club owner Justice Charlier.

"That's going to be fun. I have to find out who this character is. I play a Gentleman's Club owner," she continued.

"I have to put together who she is. Does she have struggles? Is she going through things? Is she the person that's always bubbly and strong, but with the most problems? That's the inner work. So, I have an acting coach and I'm reading books on acting."
