Rango is the animated blockbuster that will entertain the whole family this summer, starring Johnny Depp as the voice of Rango - a chameleon living as an ordinary family pet who dreams of being a fearless hero, and is challenged to become just that when he inadvertently becomes the sheriff of a lawless desert town called Dirt.
To celebrate the DVD and Blu-ray release of Rango on 25th July, we're searching for the UK's most heroic pet.
The lucky winner will receive a Panasonic flat screen TV, Blu-ray™ player and a copy of the film to enjoy with their family, while five runners up will receive a Rango goodie bag
which includes a copy of the movie on DVD.
To enter to win one of these fantastic prizes, email us a picture of your family pet and tell us in 50 or less what makes them so special to you and your children.

All the entries will be displayed in the gallery below before a winner and five runner ups are chosen.

By entering this prize promotion, you accept and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
1. The prize promotion is open to all UK residents (excluding Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over except employees (and their families) of AOL (UK) Limited ("AOL") Paramount Home Entertainment (UK) and any affiliates or subsidiary companies, as well as representatives or agents of AOL and Paramount Home Entertainment (UK) and anyone else who may be involved or connected with the prize promotion. Any entries submitted by agents or third parties will be invalid and will not be accepted by the Promoter.
Entries
2. You may enter this prize promotion by emailing a picture of your family pet, along with 50 words or less explaining why that pet is so special to your family to Comps.parentdish@teamaol.com (the "Entry").
3. The Promoter reserves the right not to publish or accept any Entry and/or Photograph submitted with incomplete information, or found to contain invalid, inappropriate or offensive information, as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion. Further the Promoter reserves the right to remove any Entry and/or Photograph at any time from the prize promotion for any reason.
Photographs
4. Any photographs submitted as part of your Entry must be (a) in a JPEG/GIF format and the maximum size is 2MB and (b) comply with these Terms and Conditions (the "Photographs").
5. By submitting your Entry, you confirm that: (a) either the Photograph has been taken by you or if it was taken by a third party, you have the consent of that third party to submit the Photograph in question to the prize promotion; (b) any persons appearing in the Photograph have given their formal consent for the Photograph to be submitted to the Promoter and (c) if any children appear in the Photograph and you are not the legal parent/guardian of the children in the Photograph, that you have their formal consent for the Photograph to be featured by the Promoter.
6. Upon your submission of the Entry to the Promotion, you hereby grant to the Promoter, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and licensees a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right to use, modify, distribute, edit, communicate to the public and otherwise exploit the Entry and/or the Photographs in any and all media as the Promoter, in its sole discretion, sees fit and without any compensation to you.
7. You irrevocably and unconditionally waive in favour of the Promoter, its affiliates and licensees, assigns and successors in title, all moral rights in the Entry and/or Photograph to which you have, or may at any time in the future be entitled.
8. Further, you represent and warrant that (a) you are the only creator, author and owner of the Entry and/or Photograph or, if you are not the owner, you have received written consent from the owner to submit the Entry and/or Photograph; (b) the use of the Entry by the Promoter and/or any other sub-licencee will not infringe any intellectual property or other rights of any third party (for example trade marks, copyright, privacy rights etc); (c) the Entry does not contain anything that is defamatory, offensive or illegal and (d) you hereby indemnify the Promoter fully and effectively, and will hold the Promoter harmless, from and against any third party claim arising from the use of the Entry and/or Photograph
Competition
9. Prizes. There will be one grand prize winner winning a Panasonic flat screen TV, Blu-ray™ player and a copy of Rango on DVD and five runner ups each winning a Rango goodie bag.
10. The prizes will be issued by Paramount Home Entertainment (UK) (the "Prize Provider"). By entering this prize promotion, you agree that if you are selected as a winner, AOL (UK) Limited may pass the data submitted on your entry email to the Prize Provider who will issue you with your prize.
11. The prize promotion closing date is 22nd August 2011 at 10am (the "Closing Date") and any entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted by the Promoter.
12. The winning entries will be selected by a judging panel on 22nd August 2011 and the winners will be notified by email within seven days. To contact you we will use the contact details supplied by you when entering the prize promotion.
13. If you are notified of a winning entry, you must confirm acceptance by both telephone and email to claim your prize. If you do not reply to confirm acceptance within 5 days of being notified as a winner, we may offer your prize to someone else
14. Only one entry per person is permitted.
15. Submission of entries will not constitute proof of receipt and no responsibility will be accepted by the Promoter for entries or acceptances which the Promoter does not receive. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or corruption of data in transit. No responsibility will be accepted for entries or acceptances which are lost, delayed or damaged in the post or elsewhere. Illegible, incomplete, late or defaced entries will be disqualified.
16. The prizes must be taken as offered. No cash equivalent or other alternative prizes are available in whole or in part except as provided for in these terms and conditions.
17. All prizes are non-transferable and where prizes consist of tickets to events, all such tickets are non-refundable. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of an equivalent value should the prize(s) become unavailable for any reason. If any winner is not able for whatever reason to accept the prizes, then the Promoter reserves the right to award the prizes to another participant.
18. A list of winners' names and locations can be obtained by sending a SAE to the Promoter after 27th August 2011
19. The winners agree to participate in any publicity or other such promotional activities which the Promoter may reasonably require in connection with the prize promotion and the Promoter shall have the right to use each winner's name, likeness, image, voice and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with the prize promotion in all media without further notice and without the need to make any payment to any winner for such use.
20. The decision of the Promoter is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the prize promotion.
21. No purchase is necessary to enter this prize promotion.
