La Tomatina: Painting The Town Red

Revelers ran around, chasing each other through the streets of Bunol, a village near Valencia in Spain, on Wednesday. Every year 40, 000 people gather together for the "Tomatina" tomato fight fiesta. The local village festival originated in the 1940s but now tourists from as far as Japan and Australia gather to pelt each other with 120 tons of ripe tomatoes as ammunition.
